Over and over.
It never occurred to me how many other dishes I could make. Dishes like: Gluten-Free Millet Bread, Classic Italian Risotto and Blueberry French Toast Casserole.
When I received a review copy of The Everything Gluten-Free Slow Cooker Cookbook from Carrie Forbes of Ginger Lemon Girl, I learned that all of these dishes and more are possible. All gluten-free. All made with minimal fuss. All in a slow cooker. (Obviously.)
The Classic Italian Risotto has been my favorite so far. Rich and creamy, with a hint of Italian herbs. A perfect side dish that went so quickly I never got a photo! Many of the recipes in this cookbook use dairy, but I can tell you from experience that they were easy to adapt using dairy-free substitutes. My only problem now is that I gave away my old slow cooker when I moved out of my apartment. Guess I'll have to buy a new one when I get to my next permanent landing spot. I have so many more recipes to try!
On my must-try list?
- Eastern North Carolina Cheesy Grits Casserole
- Crustless Quiche Lorraine
- Apple and Sweet Potato Casserole
- Carrot Nutmeg Pudding
Signed copies available from Ms. Carrie herself here.

I would love to be able to make homemade doughnuts, like the store bakery kind, gluten free or buy them somewhere for fun.
I've been thinking a lot about Christmas comfort foods, and I would love to find a way to make a low-starch gluten-free spritz cookie.
Oh wow! Would I love to win this...in ten years of being gluten free, I've never gotten around to getting an actual cookbook, just bread books.
I would love to see pop tarts...
croissant, and something with the texture of grapenuts for cereal, all g/f!
Thanks for doing this great giveaway!

It's not really in the realm of home cooking, but I would like some cereals to be gluten-free. It gets kind of boring only having Chex. I used to love cereal (all kinds) and now the selection is so limited. Probably better off though. LOL They aren't usually very healthy. :)
I would love to make that risotto recipe! GF graham crackers would be great too....which I could use for GF cheesecake! This book sounds so exciting!

My favorite gluten filled comfort food is sourdough bread. I could eat it every day and lots of it and never get tired of it. Gluten free versions are a distant substitute. Thank you for the awesome giveaway. Slow cookers are fantastic and I need to use mine more!
